Community & Family with Greenwood Katoomba

Despite weather predictions of snow and temperatures of 5 degrees, the folk at Katoomba certainly didn’t let the clouds or chilly wind dampen their day. We were overwhelmed with the outpour of support from the Blue Mountains community, having welcomed 646 people through Greenwood Katoomba’s doors, to celebrate our official opening.

Katoomba’s Autumn Festival was the truest expression of our Greenwood Family’s community; it is these moments of unity which inspire our work each and every day.

We were thrilled to welcome, Mayor Mark Greenhill and Councillor Don McGregor, who both share our passion in raising the next generation of confident, happy children. Here is what Mayor Greenhill had to say about his time at our Greenwood Katoomba centre;

“It is not a cliché to say that our children are the most precious thing we have, because they are. They’re our future and they are of course, little people. To have so much love, care and attention directed at them from a place like this, designed specifically to do that, I think is, quite wonderful.”

This past Saturday, Greenwood Katoomba transformed into an Autumn inspired wonderland and wouldn’t have done so without the contribution of so many talented and passionate local businesses, artists and performers.

We wish to extend a huge Greenwood thank you to the following;
