Greenwood Central Park Duo

See where the extraordinary happens every day at Greenwood Central Park Duo (Chippendale). Our early education and childcare centre in Chippendale is just a few minutes from Broadway, Central Station and Central Park Mall.

We’re ideally located for families in living or commuting through Glebe, Darlington, Ultimo, Redfern, Forest Lodge, Camperdown, Surry Hills, Everleigh and Macdonaldtown. We’re a short walk from Chippendale Green and nearby public transport and roads leading into the Sydney CBD.

We have a strong focus on sustainability at our centre where we incorporate this in our daily routine with children and educators. Our lights are motion detected, we have self-watering planter boxes and even a worm farm all right in the middle of the city along with a water pump that the children are able to pump recycled water through as part of their learning through play! The children participate in learning about their food through sustainable approaches and help our chef make food in our cooking experiences. Our sustainability program teaches children about nature, the world around us, what is living in our world, and ways to improve our footprint on our environment.

From the moment you step into our child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Children love to explore and play in our spacious outdoor environments which include cubby houses, sandpits, and vegetable gardens. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.

Once it’s time to come inside, our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.

There’s no need to worry about packing lunches or snacks. Healthy, freshly made meals and snacks are created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. To help you get ready for the busy morning routine let us treat you to a snack and coffee, available to grab and go for our families.

Your child will have access to a rotating schedule of engaging specialised programs including music and movement where children engage through a variety of songs, instruments, and games. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program. We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests including local emergency services, responsible pet ownership, sustainability, and more.

As members of our Greenwood community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
