Greenwood Bronte

See where the extraordinary happens every day at Greenwood Bronte. Our child care and early education centre is nestled in the heart of the Bronte area, but located in a quiet suburban street away from the hustle and bustle off the main Waverley and Bronte café and shopping precinct.

Our child care centre is open from 7:00am to 6:00pm for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, and is ideally located for families living or commuting through Bronte, Waverley and Clovelly.

Dedicated play spaces for little explorers

As soon as you step foot in our centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore, learn and grow. Your little one will love discovering our spacious and natural outdoor areas, including our gardens, cubby house, slides, sandpit, water play area and herb gardens. When it’s time to come inside, our creative and engaging learning environments include purpose-built play areas and even a dedicated art studio.

Our dedicated studio space invites innovative ways of working with unique materials. Project work enables children to visit and work in the studio space over time with peers, educators, and specialists. Project-based learning promotes the integration of learning areas and skill sets as children problem-solve, think critically, and collaborate with others to design, create and evaluate their ideas.

Healthy meals freshly prepared in-house

We provide nutritious meals and snacks that are created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. In the mornings, we also like to treat our busy families, with a snack and coffee available to grab and go. Our centre cook Ana loves spending time with the children doing cooking classes and tending to our vegetable garden.

Engaging programs and strong community connections

We have a team of long-standing staff members dedicated to their roles as educators. Your child will have access to a rotating schedule of engaging specialised programs (two per term), including Zumba, mindfulness yoga and cooking experiences.

Children and educators also love to venture out into our local Bronte community, with excursions to nearby parks to embrace a connection with nature and take in new experiences. Children visit local primary schools Clovelly Public and St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School in the lead up to school transition time, as well as visiting neighbouring Varna Park frequently.

There is an amazing sense of community amongst the families and educators. We have strong community connections especially with neighbouring Bronte Bowling Club where we hold centre functions such as our end of year centre Christmas Party and celebrations.
