Katoomba Autumn Festival

Greenwood Katoomba’s Autumn Family Festival

When: Saturday 28 May 2016 9AM–2PM
Where: Greenwood Katoomba, Cnr Dora St and Edwin Lane, Katoomba
Cost: Free event

Round-up your family and friends for a celebration of all things unique and local to the stunning Blue Mountains.

A perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy live entertainment and music, explore our gardens with Greenwood’s resident horticulturalist, mingle with your local artisans and share a bite to eat from a delicious selection of their produce.

For the kids, this will be an unmissable day out full of entertainment for little imaginations to run wild! With a circus workshop, caricaturist, balloon artist, a special appearance from Peppa Pig and George, farm animals, face painting, a magic show and so much more – the kids will be spoilt for choice.

For the foodies among us, your food adventure starts here with Barista fresh coffee from Grindcore Café using Blue Mountains local blend, Morgan’s Coffee Roaster, a Lithgow Freerange Meats barbecue, gourmet savoury pies from Bakehouse On Wentworth and sweet baked treats generously donated by the Country Women’s Association of NSW. You just can’t beat a classic, and we’ve heard on the grapevine, a fresh and oh-so scrumptious batch of lamingtons will be making their way to the Autumn Festival. However, whatever you fancy, we’ve got you covered!

Be sure to check out an incredible immersive and sensory rich experience we have in store for you and the kids! Roll out a mat for some light yoga stretches and then hop into our Greenwood Happiness Dome! Despite all the fun we have planned, this will be nice space to revitalise your mind and nurture your emotional well-being.

  • The Greenwood Happiness Dome designed by the talented, Reuben Young, who has conceptualised and created several works at Vivid Sydney, this magical pod awaits a golden ottoman cushion and features beautiful music by Finnish composer Inga Liljestrom. Whether you’re a seasoned meditator, or just want to sit and enjoy the softly pulsing lights projected inside the dome, the Greenwood Happiness Pod is just the ticket you need to feel calm and relaxed.

If you’re after some cultural fun, you can spark your child’s sense of adventure with a musical French Workshop from Bonjour Babies!

Bring your family and friends to experience a taste of the Blue Mountains in Autumn with Greenwood Katoomba!

Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the opportunity to go home with some amazing gifts on the day!
