Centre Manager - Greenwood Rowville
"My favourite part of Early Childhood Education is to witness and celebrate both children and educators’ successes and growth. "
We understand just how important your children are to you, and we take our responsibilities very seriously when caring for them at our child care and early education and child I hold a Diploma of children’s services, child protection and first aid. I also hold a diploma of Endorsed Enrolled nursing and a certificate in Raising Good Kids by Dr Kaylene Henderson. I have been working in the industry since I completed my studies in 2009.
My favourite part of Early Childhood Education is to witness and celebrate both children and educators’ successes and growth and utilise the power of encouragement to build individuals’ self-esteem. it is what makes this industry very special. Each child is unique and has their own personality, strengths and weaknesses. By understanding and encompassing this we can not only develop on educational outcomes and goals, but we can also ensure they are engaged and flourishing within their environment.
All childcare centres, including our centre, use the foundation of play-based learning to guide our experiences every day. With access to a range of age-appropriate learning resources, trained educators, and new experiences among friends, we set children up to thrive in an environment that is dedicated to learning.
The Greenwood Rowville team is positive and energetic and is involved in our local community. Our educators are mostly local to the area and are passionate about giving back to our community when they can. The team pride themselves on engaging with children and ensuring their education environments are aesthetically pleasing and promote curiosity and learning opportunities. Our educators also bring with them vast knowledge with many having been in the industry for over five years. Some of our educators have been with us from the opening of our centre, and as we continue to grow, we welcome new educators into our family. Our team speak Hindi, Punjabi, Sinhala, Indonesian, Mandarin, and English, just to name a few.
Our educators are committed to both educating children, and ensuring families feel connected with the service. They are always happy to take the time to talk with families, ensuring they and their children feed safe and secure. Our team understands just how important your children are to you and we ensure we take our responsibilities seriously. Greenwood Early Education Centres has extensive policy and procedures in place to assist our team in protecting children in our care. You can read more about our commitment to safety here.
Our foyer is family focused, with a coffee machine always available for a brewed coffee to take to work. We also offer tea and hot chocolate plus biscuits. We have a bowl of fresh fruit available as a healthy snack, and often have hot soups, breakfast on the run, or some delicious freshly baked treat to take with you.
During a tour we try our best to ensure families are given all the information they may need and feel comfortable to ask as many questions as they’d like, and in doing so this helps them to fully understand what we have on offer. This includes an information pack with screenshots on how to apply for CCS, a rundown of what was said in the tour, information on our service personally and a step by step guide on how to enrol and sign up for XPLOR. Once the tour is complete, we continue to offer our help and guidance. Families are always welcome to email or call the centre directly for assistance with enrolling, applying for CCS or any other area you need help with.
Our centre celebrates Easter, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s day, Grandparents day and other important celebrations. They include morning teas, easter egg hunts, special guests, and for our Christmas parties we have a larger celebration with many fun activities. We also host morning tea parent groups for families to connect with each other, and local community events such as coat drives for the homeless and our community pantry and library.
A fun fact about me is that I love horses and have a pet horse named Spartan.
We look forward to welcoming you at Greenwood Rowville.
