Centre Manager - Greenwood Concord
I started working in early learning in 2005. I joined the team at Greenwood Concord in 2019. I completed a Bachelor of Education Early Childhood (Birth to Eight) in 2005 and hold current qualifications in First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management, and Child Protection Certificate. I have worked in various roles during my career, including Early Childhood Teacher, Educational Leader, Assistant Centre Manager and Centre Manager.
During my career, I have learnt that all children are unique and bring with them a wide range of life experiences. Children are capable and competent leaders in their own learning. The depth of knowledge a child can demonstrate when they are engaged in learning about an area of interest is often incredible.
I believe that high-quality early childhood education sets a child up for success through the rest of their educational journey. Early childhood education provides children with important opportunities to socialise and connect with peers. We must adapt our teaching styles to ensure that we can meet the needs of every child in our care.
We have a long-standing team of highly qualified educators. Many have been at the centre for more than five years. Our team celebrates the diversity of all cultures. We are fortunate to have educators who speak various languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Italian, Arabic, and Hindi.
We support the families from the beginning with open communication and being available to support all needs. We believe in the importance of building trusting relationships with families, knowing their child is safe and having a great time at home away from home.
