See where the extraordinary happens at Greenwood Gladesville. Our child care and early education centre is located on Frank Street just off of Victoria Road in Gladesville, ideally located for families in Gladesville, Ryde, East Ryde, Putney and Tennyson Point. We’re conveniently located on a main public transport line and nearby Gladesville shops and schools.
As you open the door to our child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Our all-weather play areas include cubby houses, sandpits, a rainbow bike track, a water play area, and a vegetable garden. Even with the expansive space of our centre it comes with a cozy and homely atmosphere our families love.
Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
We are passionate about healthy, fresh food. Children learn about sustainability practices through our vegetable garden while harvesting food, weeding, watering, and nurturing the environment. We grow edible plants in our vegetable garden, and these are sometimes used in the cooking at our centre where our cook uses the produce to provide some great cooking experiences, providing healthy eating and garden to plate learning. We collaborate with businesses in our community to build on our sustainability program to include composting and a worm farm for our vegetable garden.
Our kitchen is at the heart of everything we do. Healthy meals and snacks are created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. In the mornings, we also like to treat our busy families, with a snack and coffee available to grab and go. We welcome families to sit at our kitchen bar with their morning coffee sharing laughter and food advice with our in-house cook.
Your child will have access to a rotating schedule of engaging specialised programs, including sports, yoga and French are provided to build a solid foundation in learning and skill development.
We have great community connections with excursions to the Ryde Aquatic Centre, Bunnings and the local schools and parks to promote connection with nature and active participation in the broader community. Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
As members of our Greenwood community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
