Centre Manager - Greenwood Penrith

“I am passionate about building respectful relationships with the community, bringing people together and offering guidance and support.”

I have been working in early childhood education and since 1993, while raising five children of my own. I have completed my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

From an early age, I developed a passion for early years education. I would dream of being able to give children the love and encouragement they needed to build confidence as they entered different stages of their early years, helping them to take risks and develop as individuals, while feeling safe and supported.

I am lucky to have had the opportunity to hold various roles in the Early Childhood Industry from Room Assistant, Lead Educator, Assistant Centre Manager and Centre Manager. Each day I continue to gain knowledge and skills.

One of the things I enjoy the most about my role as a Centre Manager is being in the position to lead a team, mentoring and inspiring others during their
early childhood journey. I am passionate about building respectful relationships with the community, bringing people together and offering guidance and support when needed to not only parents of our service but those in our wider community.

I believe that all children have the right to an education, to learn and to be cared for in a safe, healthy, nurturing, fun and respectful environment, by educators who draw on their in-depth knowledge of each child.

Our program allows children to be active investigators and develop a sense of belonging and self-identity. We believe in play-based learning and by allowing children to direct and lead their play, giving them a sense of ownership and empowerment. A Reggio Emilia inspired program encourages children to touch, read, create, feel, play, move, share and listen with their friends, all the while learning all the skills they need to live and thrive in the early stages of their development.

I take pride in being the Centre Manager at Greenwood Penrith, working with a culturally diverse team, who take pride in providing infants, toddlers and young children with positive learning experiences by way of planning and facilitating meaningful experiences based on our in-depth knowledge of each child, as well as children’s interestsHere at Greenwood, we demonstrate a knowledge of and appreciation for a variety of cultures. Our vision is to provide the highest quality care and education by encouraging our children and teams to be confident individuals.

Our educators are committed to both educating children, and ensuring families feel connected with the service. They are always happy to take the time to talk with families, ensuring they and their children feed safe and secure. Our team understands just how important your children are to you and we ensure we take our responsibilities seriously. Greenwood Early Education Centres has extensive policy and procedures in place to assist our team in protecting children in our care. You can read more about our commitment to safety here.

We understand that the whole process of starting at a new centre can create confusion and anxiety for families, however, rest assured we are here to support your family every step of the way.

I would love to speak with you to find out more about the early learning needs of your family. I welcome you to call for a tour or just drop in at a time of your convenience. I am looking forward to meeting you and your family and introducing you to our passionate educators while touring our beautiful environment.
