How long have you been working in early education?
I have been working in early education for 6 years and loving it! Starting as a trainee and working my way up to a Centre Manager role is a proud achievement.
What is your favourite thing about Greenwood Hunters Hill?
I love that we are a smaller centre in a residential area – It is so nice to have all the natural gardens and trees around and I think it is a great way to educate children about looking after our environment and learning from the land by doing things such as planting vegetable gardens and herbs, watering them and then using these in cooking.
What inspired you to become an educator?
I was inspired by the fact that – as an educator – I can actually make a real difference in not just children’s lives but in their families lives too. I love being a Centre Manager because I truly believe that bringing educators to work together and support each other as a happy and healthy team can create a perfect environment for children to grow – and that is what I plan on doing here at Greenwood Hunters Hill.
