Centre Manager Greenwood Officer
"I believe that children deserve the best start in life and our role in early education is crucial. "
I’ve been working in early education since 2008. I hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and an Advanced Diploma of Children’s Services. I believe in a play-based learning program that is based on the children’s interests. It is through their interests that children extend their learning, make sense of their world, experiment, explore and discover new understandings.
Children are central to everything we do. We are creating the future and next generation of leaders in our country. Here at Greenwood Officer, we know that every child is unique and should be treated so, and we facilitate environments that encourage children not only to have fun but learn and grow into their future success.
Our carefully constructed environments support all developmental domains, giving children choices, responsibilities, and opportunities to initiate their own learning, and allowing them to become the best versions of themselves.
We have an amazing and diverse range of educators. We come from different cultures, upbringings, mother languages, ages, experiences in this role with both newly trained and more experienced among us.
Our team understands just how important your children are to you and we ensure we take our responsibilities seriously. Greenwood Early Education Centres have extensive policy and procedures in place to assist our team in protecting children in our care. You can read more about our commitment to safety here.
My favourite thing about being Centre Manager is that I not only get the benefit of working closely with families, but I can also support and lead our educators to be the best they can be. I believe that children deserve the best start in life and our role in early education is crucial.
Our families are the essence of our community. We are always ready to listen, to offer support, to find services to assist them, and just to sit and chat. We enjoy spending time with our families whether they are new to the centre or have been here since we first opened. We do this in many ways including assisting them with completing their enrolment forms, advice around child care subsidy CCS, linking them to community services, or accessing the support they need. We also offer our parents homemade snacks, coffee and fresh fruits during morning drop off and afternoon pick up.
I look forward to meeting you and establishing a close relationship with your family and our community.
