See where the extraordinary happens every day at Greenwood Point Cook. Our long day care and early education centre is ideally located for families looking for child care in Point Cook or commuting through Seabrook, Laverton, Williams Landing and Altona Meadows. We’re located just down the road from Lumen Christi School - Point Cook.
As you open the door to our child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Our all-weather play areas feature cubby houses, sandpits, water play and vegetable gardens. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
Our centre philosophy is based on four pillars of love and respect, relationships, sustainability, and community. Our learning is integrated which includes regular programs of music and movement, yoga and mindfulness, second language integration program and physical education. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.
What sets us apart is our nurturing and dedicated qualified educators who take the time to make connections with each child ensuring the care experience is safe, comfortable and enjoyable. Our sustainability program guides our daily practices and allows for the teaching of healthy and sustainable lifelong habits and learning in children.
There's no need to worry about packing lunches or snacks. Healthy, freshly made meals and snacks are created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. As part of your busy morning routine let us treat you to a snack and coffee, available to grab and go.
We regularly welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests such as emergency services, responsible pet ownership, dental hygiene and more. We also venture out on excursions and walks in our local Point Cook community to visit local schools and the nearby golf course. Neighborhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
As members of our Greenwood community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
