Centre Manager - Greenwood Artarmon
“An energetic and creative educator will help children stay positive about learning every day.”
I completed my Post-graduation in Early Childhood Education and started working in the sector in 2004. I joined the team at Greenwood Artarmon in June 2022.
As soon as I graduated from the University, I started to work as a preschool teacher. I designed and implemented an age-appropriate and challenging school readiness curriculum for the preschoolers. After moving to Australia in 2009, I polished my continued to provide hands on learning experience to the preschool age children. In 2012, I decided to spend more time focusing on children from birth to three years of age. I worked to plan activities that enhances both linguistic as well as cognitive abilities and scaffolding physical and motor development, was my prime focus. In 2020, I started working as an Educational Leader & Assistant Centre Manager and took up the responsibility to mentor the fellow team and empower them by sharing my knowledge.
I believe the key to being a good teacher and educator is being able to think outside the box, to identify each child's individual strength, and to develop and deliver great learning outcomes for all children in the care. An energetic and creative educator will help children stay positive about learning every day. I believe that educators also need to be able to plan well and stay organised. Children thrive on routines and seek positive interactions from educators that promote a positive learning environment.
A quality early childhood education setting helps children get into a good routine, develop emotional resilience and become independent. Educators know what skills the child needs to develop and they use various techniques to help them reach their potential in a safe, structured environment. Attending a good early childhood education centre is one of the best ways to help the child develop the social, emotional, and cognitive skills they need to prepare for primary school and beyond.
I am fortunate to have passionate, qualified educators who come from different parts of the world and bring their language, culture, talents and different strengths to our centre. Our team of educators want families to become partners with us in their children’s learning journey. They are welcome anytime to participate and communicate regarding the child’s development.
