Centre Manager - Greenwood Waterloo
"I am most passionate about working in partnership with the families and community to create a warm, secure and nurturing environment for children."
I started working in early learning in 2016. I joined the team at Greenwood Waterloo in 2023. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and care and am working towards my early childhood teacher qualification. I worked from an assistant educator to Room Leader, Educational Leader, Assistant Centre Manager and then Centre Manager.
I am most passionate about working in partnership with the families and community to create a warm, secure and nurturing environment for children and create the foundation for them to strive for their future.
My favourite part about my role as a Centre Manager is watching the children explore and experiment with the environment as capable learners. It is incredibly rewarding to be a part of the children's journey. I love working with educators and families to build children's independence, which will shape them to be confident and resilient in the future.
Children learn from their environment and the people around them. A dedicated early childhood education environment provides them with more opportunities to develop their social skills. They build friendships with one another, develop problem-solving skills from conflicts and collaboration activities, and explore resources in a safe and nurturing environment.
We have four early childhood teachers in the centre, and most educators continue to study towards more qualifications. We work with families to reach the best learning outcomes for the children. We listen to the family's feedback and provide our professional approach to children's development.
