See where the extraordinary happens every day at Greenwood Dural. Our child care and early education centre is located in a quiet residential area in Dural, ideally located for families living or commuting through Galston, Kellyville, Glenhaven, Castle Hill, Cherrybrook, West Pennant Hills and other suburbs in the Hills District.
As soon as you step foot in our centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore, learn and grow. Our spacious outdoor areas are surrounded by natural trees and feature a cubby house and water play area with a dry creek bed. We even have centre animals including chickens, rabbit, stingless bees, and worm farm.
Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
When it’s time to come inside our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.
Our kitchen is at the heart of our centre. Healthy meals and snacks are created daily by our in-house chef, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. As part of your busy morning routine let us treat you to a snack and coffee, available to grab and go.
Your child will have access to a rotating schedule of engaging specialised programs (two per term), such as music, science, and sustainability. We also offer a paddock-to-plate program where our cook provides weekly cooking sessions with the older children using herbs from our very own vegetable garden. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.
Children and educators also love to venture out into our local Dural community, with excursions to nearby parks to promote connection with nature and active participation in the broader community. We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests including responsible pet ownership, animal experiences, sustainability, and more. Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
As members of our Greenwood community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
