Greenwood Waterloo

See where the extraordinary happens at Greenwood Waterloo. Our child care and early education centre is located in Waterloo on the ground floor of the Vista Grande by Meriton building, ideally located for families in Zetland too. We’re just opposite Wulaba Park and close to Moore Park Supa Centre and East Village Shopping Centre.

Children engage in cooking experiences with our centre cook, participate in engaging programs and practice sustainability throughout the centre and with our vegetable garden.

We value children’s interest and individual development, so our program design is focused on children’s cultural identity, emotional well-being, social communication, and international mindedness. The daily experiences embed a variety of learning elements, such as literacy and numeracy, STEM program, arts, physical, music and more.

As soon as you step foot in our centre, you will be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Our all-weather play areas which feature two age-appropriate playgrounds, rainbow bike tracks, bridges, two large sandpits, veggie gardens, a cubby house, a slide, a water play area and a stage for outdoor performance.

Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.

The centre kitchen is at the heart of everything we do. We provide nutritious meals created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. Let us treat you to coffee and a snack as part of your morning routine.

Your child will have access to a rotating schedule of engaging specialised programs, including sports program, Yoga classes, music lessons and French classes. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.

Throughout the year we welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests, such as pet ownership, emergency services, local dentist, Australian Wildlife Display, science and more. We also venture out on regular excursions exploring our local community, parks, East Village Shopping Centre and Wulaba Park to promote connection with nature and active participation in the broader community.

Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.

We embrace regular cultural events reflecting the diversity in our local community. We welcome all our families to join us to celebrate Harmony Day, Chinese New Year, Diwali Day, Easter, Christmas and other special events throughout the year.

As members of our Greenwood community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
