Our kitchen is at the heart of everything we do. Our cook engages with the children through cooking experiences where we use herbs from our own gardens in our cooking. Nutritious meals and snacks are created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. In the mornings, we also like to treat our busy families with a snack and coffee available to grab and go.
From the moment you step foot in our child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Our spacious outdoor environments span over two levels and encourage exploration and learning through play. Our outdoor areas include a cubby house, a slide, a sandpit, a water play area, and vegetable and herb gardens to engage all the senses.
Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
Our experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.
Your child will have access to a rotating schedule of engaging specialised programs, including Mandarin language classes, cooking experiences and sports. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.
Throughout the year we welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests. We have visits from police, fire department, ambulance drivers, dentist, speech pathologist, optometrist, Diver Dave (he brings to oceans wonders to our centre) and many more.
Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
We have a sustainability philosophy embedded at our centre teaching children to care for the environment. Children learn about this through our vegetable gardens and recycling their own goods from home to our friend Reggie the Recycling Monster to use these resources in numerous art experiences.
As members of our Greenwood community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
Our Family Support Team are happy to chat through your child care needs. Call them today on to book a tour at our centre and meet our team of educators.
