Centre Manager - Greenwood North Ryde
“I believe, as early childhood educators, we are privileged to take part in a child’s life journey.”
I believe, as early childhood educators, we are privileged to take part in a child’s life journey. I am passionate about creating a positive learning environment in which all children can flourish.
I began my career in early childhood education and care in 2015 and started working at Greenwood North Ryde in 2019. I hold my First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates. I have completed my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and I am studying towards my Bachelor of Education (Birth to 5 Years) at Swinburne University.
While I was completing my certificate in my first year, I discovered my passion for early learning. I enjoy building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families, and empowering children to be confident and competent.
During my career I have grown to understand the importance of recognizing each child as an individual. Treating each child as an individual is part of what makes that child a unique person and is a way of appreciating all their special characteristics. When children’s individual needs, interests and skills are taken into consideration, educators can provide the best possible environment to support their development and education.
The team at Greenwood North Ryde are a group of passionate and dedicated educators who want the best for all children and their families. We are a highly diverse group, from many different cultural backgrounds. Many of our staff are bilingual and we speak up to ten languages between us!
We provide tea and coffee available for our families for those busy morning drop offs. We often host events to honour special celebrations such as Mother’s Day, Diwali, Chinese New Year, Christmas and many more.
We have a dedicated support team to take families through the entire enrolment process. When families attend a tour, they are welcomed by a friendly staff member who has a comprehensive understanding of all things centre related, ready to answer your questions. Our centre’s office staff are available to answer any questions parents have regarding CCS, and often assist first time families with this.
When families decide to enrol at our child care centre they are invited to attend an informal orientation session. Families have the chance to meet our team and begin to develop that sense of trust with the educators who will be looking after their children. On your child’s first day, the room leader will ensure they give the parent a call to let them know how their child is settling and alleviate any worries for the parent. Our team cannot wait to meet your family and begin this exciting adventure with you.
