What Parents are saying about Greenwood Waterloo:
“This day care is by far the best we have come across. Our son started with the amazing educators at Greenwood Waterloo when he was 1 and during that time he learnt, played, fell into a great routine and most importantly was cared for perfectly every single day. It didn’t take long for him to drag me to the door every morning, and he was sad to leave the girls at the end of the day. The facilities are better than any other we have come across, the activities were always engaging and educational, and the educators were kind, gentle, engaging and most importantly loved our son for us while we went to work. We can’t thank Greenwood Waterloo enough for the amazing introduction to school-life they gave our son, and we highly recommend this centre to anyone looking for high quality day care where their children will be loved and nurtured through their early years.”
“This centre is a wonderful environment: new, clean, spacious, safe, well equpped, and designs to bring out the best in children of all ages. The staff are young, energetic and well trained. There is a real sense of community and care – children thrive here. And the little ones getting ready for ‘big school’ will be well prepared educationally, emotionally and socially. This centre even does French and yoga! Amazing place.”
“Great place for kids to grow and learn. Very friendly educators with superior facilities.. You can be assured that kids are with very caring people who hand hold and do their best… Definitely recommend place. Keep up the good work!”
“Our almost 2 year old son has been attending Greenwood Waterloo since 15 months old. He previously attended another centre in the area. We are so glad we moved him to Greenwood! He absolutely loves it! My husband and I were extremely disappointed with the first centre our son attended, however we place the utmost trust and confidence in Greenwood. The educators are caring, engaging and always ready and willing to discuss my son’s day. The hugs and smiles our son returns to the educators reassures me that they truly do care and that he is well looked after. The indoor and outdoor areas are interactive, age appropriate and most importantly, our son has blast! They have an online tool called “Leaf” which parents can access all day to see how their child is doing (i.e photos, how much they have eaten, slept etc). I highly recommend this centre!”
Centre Manager: Riham Moawad
My name is Riham Moawad and I have been a Childcare Director for more than 8 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care as well as UK Diploma in Pre-school Practice.
My philosophy is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and I am passionate about early childhood education and care and believe that children are strong capable learners full of potential who need to be treated with respect and equality. It is my duty to foster their natural curiosity and give them the ability to lead their own learning within a respectful and secure environment that nurtures their innate inquisitive character. The most rewarding part of working with children is watching them grow and develop and seeing their eyes shine with excitement about every new learning experience or discovery.
I take great pride seeing my centres continuously strive for excellence in providing world-class education and care while promoting team co-operative spirit. I view my team of staff as dedicated professionals who are truly amazing at what they do and I enjoy working closely with each one of them to offer support and ensure the highest standards of delivery expected. As a mum I know first-hand the anxiety of leaving one’s child within a childcare setting and together with my team, we make it our personal vision to support parents and children with the same care and attention as if they were our own.
My favourite personal quotes are:
“Without music life would be a mistake”
“Quality is not an act, it’s a habit”
And just a few of my favourite Early Childhood related quotes are:
“The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge, but imagination”
“Stand aside for a while and leave room for learning, observe carefully what children do, and then, if you have understood well, perhaps teaching will be different from before.”
“Early childhood education is the key to the betterment of society”
I’ve always had passion for education and learning in general, then after becoming a mother, this passion transformed into educating children. It has become personally satisfying to meet the child at whatever level they are at and work with them to discover their potential and realize what they can become, thus giving them a head start in life.
The values that are most important to me in my team members are: enthusiasm for children, creativity, patience, flexibility and most important is the ability to have fun and putting your heart in everything you do with the children.
My hobbies are travelling (I have visited over 15 countries and still got more on my bucket list), reading and spending quality time with my family. I am very blessed with a loving husband whom I’ve known since 1995 and 2 amazing children aged 13 (girl) and 10 (boy), who keep our dinner time busy with their daily excitement-filled stories.
Selecting a childcare service can be a stressful decision that we all had to make at some point in life. When I had to make this decision, I chose a centre that provided my child with a ‘home away from home’ environment, and when I started working in this field, I made sure that this is the experience and feeling each family should get as soon as they walk into our Centre. Being dedicated to the social and emotional wellbeing of each child makes creating this homely environment an easy task. It is my goal to ensure each child receives the best education and care that they all deserve in a setting that makes them feel safe and loved.
